Microsoft Ignite | The Tour is intended for developers and technology professionals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older.

Registrants confirmed as attendees will receive additional emails containing information with the full agenda, session catalog, and instructions for accessing the schedule builder and logistics within 30 days of the event.

Badges must always be worn and visible to security personnel.

Attendees will be required to check-in at Registration when they arrive onsite. They must present a valid government-issued photo ID (i.e. ID card, Driver’s License or Passport) to receive a badge.

Registrants who have completed the registration process who experience trouble logging back into the Registration website should clear their browser cookies and cache and relaunch the browser. Opening the browser in an "in private" or "incognito" browser session is recommended. To do this, go to the website, select the same login method ('Microsoft Account', 'LinkedIn' button, ‘Github’ button, or ‘Twitter’ button) and login credentials used to register previously to log in.

Event emails will be delivered to the business email address provided during registration. Registrants who do not receive event communications should check 'junk', 'spam' or 'clutter' folders to confirm email client settings have not redirected the emails. Please also add the Registration Team alias to the "Safe Senders" list to ensure receive future email communications will be received.

The event is free to attend (no admission fee). A continental breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks will be provided, and snacks with beer and wine will be available. Attendees are responsible for all other costs associated with travel, transportation, parking, accommodations, additional meals, etc.

Microsoft does not provide hotel accommodations, offer a hotel block or discounts. Attendees are responsible for making and paying for their own hotel reservations.

Microsoft Ignite | The Tour is a series of free-to-attend events targeting 17 markets around the world and is not designed to support/sponsor individuals from other geographies to attend. Thus, we regret we are unable to assist attendees with an invitation letter for a visa application.

Microsoft Ignite | The Tour does not offer certification or education credits for attending the event.

WiFi will be available and attendees are welcome to bring personal devices, but computers are not required as the sessions are presentations (not interactive).

Internet access will be available to attendees for free (no charge). Details for accessing the event's WiFi will be provided onsite and in the event app.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to not bring cameras due to photography restrictions and to prevent possible loss. Photography is prohibited within session rooms. It is permitted in public spaces for generic photos of the overall event, but consent should be obtained from individuals before their photographs are taken.

Although the event does not require a specific dress code, business casual is recommended. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably for sitting, standing and some walking.

A continental breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks will be provided, and snacks with beer and wine will be available during evening activities.

Microsoft plans for attendees with many dietary requirements and most attendees will find suitable choices within our standard options. Special meals will be offered this year for lunch, and attendees may choose one during the registration process.

Dietary Restrictions and Food Allergies
Please be advised that Microsoft Ignite | The Tour standard attendee meals will have labels to help identify dietary restrictions and allergens.

Special Meal Request Deadline
Dietary Accommodations must be pre-ordered by Monday, January 14, 2019, and are subject to availability from the venue. Requests received after the deadline are subject to availability on a first come, first serve basis.

Special Meal Cancellation Deadline
Attendees are asked to cancel their event registration no later than Monday, January 14, 2019, if they are unable to attend, which will cancel their meal request.

  2. Scroll down the page and click 'Contact Information' to expand the section
  3. Click the 'Edit' button
  4. Scroll down to the 'Dietary Accommodations' section and provide your selection

Special Meal Pick-Up
There will be signage at the entrance to the lunch area directing attendees to the specialty meals they signed up for during registration. You may also ask any banquet server in the lunch area for the location of the meals.

At Microsoft, we strive to deliver a fully accessible and inclusive event experience for every attendee. We will do our best to help with any specific mobility, vision, hearing or other kinds of accommodations that may be required to help you get the most out of the event. Attendees may request an accommodation during the registration process.

Accessibility & Personal Consideration Request Deadline
The deadline to submit accessibility and personal consideration requests is Monday, January 14, 2019. Every effort will be made to accommodate late requests, however, requests received after the deadline will be fulfilled based on availability.

  • Reserved Seating: There will be designated reserved seating in the front row of each session room. These chairs will have a 'RESERVED' sign on the seat.
  • Personal Attendant: Microsoft Ignite | The Tour will provide one (1) complimentary pass for attendees with a personal attendant to assist them onsite. To request information on this pass, contact the Accessibility Concierge by emailing
  • Service Animals: Certified Service Animals are welcome at Microsoft Ignite | The Tour.

Accessibility Considerations – Hearing

  • Open Captioning*: All keynote, general and breakout sessions will have Open Captioning which will appear at the top of the session screen. Open Captioning will be in ENGLISH.
    • *Open Captioning is real-time presenter audio to text transcription.
  • Reserved Seats: There will be designated reserved seating in the front row of each session room. The chairs will have a 'RESERVED' sign on the seat.
  • Sign Language: Microsoft Ignite | The Tour will provide one (1) complimentary conference pass to attendees with a Sign Language Interpreter to assist them onsite. To request information on this pass, contact the Accessibility Concierge by emailing

Accessibility Considerations – Mobility

  • Wheelchair/Scooter Rentals*: Wheelchairs and Motorized scooters may be available to rent with advanced notice and at the attendee's expense.

Accessibility Considerations – Mother’s Room

  • Mother’s Room: A private, secure mother’s room will be available for use at the event. We will provide a table, padded chair, and electrical for your convenience. Please plan to bring any additional items you will require with you. Additional details will be emailed to those noting this consideration within their registration.

Accessibility Considerations – Meditation/Prayer/Quiet Room

  • Meditation Room: Meditation space will be made available to allow individuals of all religious faiths and non-religious beliefs to experience a place for peace, prayer, meditation and/or reflection throughout the day.
